Monthly Social Meetings in Chelmsford
We hold monthly informal social gatherings in a relaxed setting where members and visitors can chat, exchange information, and enjoy a drink or meal. These meetings are informal and have no set agenda.
Venue
The Globe Pub Rainsford Road, Chelmsford, CM1 2QJ (Opposite the Esso garage)
Time
Meetings start at 14:00, with the organiser usually present from 13:00. Lunch and refreshments are available from the pub.
Parking
The pub has its own car park, but vehicles must be registered at the terminal on the bar on arrival to avoid a penalty charge.
There is no admission charge and non-members are welcome, although the pub expects attendees to purchase a drink or food.

We hold bi-monthly Saturday afternoon meetings in Chelmsford, joint with the Omnibus Society Eastern & Southern Branch. From Autumn 2026, the venue has changed and is now the Central Baptist Church, Victoria Road South, Chelmsford, CM1 1LN. Less than 5 minutes walk from the bus and rail stations; the Sandon Park & Ride buses stop almost outside the door. No parking on site.

Getting there
There is no parking on site, but several public car parks are nearby. The Sandon Park & Ride bus stops almost outside the door and other local buses stop close by. The rail station is 2 minutes walk away.
